If you have not already obtained your FBI background check, the first step is to contact an approved FBI Channeler to assist you in obtaining your FBI background check.

If the FBI Channeler is unable to help, please contact the FBI directly.   We can email you a list of recommended FBI channelers near you and a link to the FBI’s website where you can order the background check directly from them.

If you have received your FBI background check in a digital format (PDF copy) from the FBI Channeler or FBI, go ahead and email it to us with the completed order form and payment (see below).  If you have received your FBI background by regular mail (Hard copy), go ahead and mail it to our Washington DC apostille office with our order forms (see below).  We can process a digital PDF copy or a hard copy! It’s your choice.

FBI Apostille Background Check

FBI Background Check ApostilleObtaining an apostille on an FBI background check doesn’t have to be a challenge. We’re here to help!  At International Apostille Services, Inc., we take the guesswork out of obtaining an apostille from the United States Federal Government.

The first step is to contact an FBI approved Channeler.  Once you receive the FBI background check, go ahead and mail it to our Washington, D.C. office for processing.  The processing time is only four business days and we do provide FedEx 1 – 2 days return shipping.

Are you another country?  We first recommend that you contact the FBI approved channeler who will provide you step-by-step instructions.  You can request a digital background check to be emailed to you instead of the hard-copy by regular mail.  To save time and money, you can forward the digital copy to us and we will submit your document to the US Department of State in Washington, D.C. for the apostille.

Apostille FBI Background Checks

Washington DC ApostilleDuring the next three to four months, our Washington, D.C. office will process hundreds of FBI background checks through the U.S. Department of State in Washington., D.C.  As of this article, we have learned that the U.S. Department of State – Office of Authentications is backed-up anywhere from 4-6 weeks.  If you are in a time crunch, we recommend that you mail-in your criminal background check to our Washington, D.C. office for processing.  We can process your documents in four business days.

The only Government office able to process your FBI background check is the U.S. Department of State.  If you mail-in your background check to your State office (Example: California Secretary of State), they will reject your document and direct you to call our office or the U.S. Department of State.  In turn, if you mail-in your State document to the U.S. Department of State, they will reject it and tell you to mail your document to our office or the State office.  It’s important to note that State offices can only process document issued by their State.  The U.S. Federal Government is the only branch of Government able to apostille the FBI background check.

If you have not yet obtained your FBI background check, go ahead and contact an approved FBI channeler.  We have listed several companies on our FBI apostille website as a reference.  We recommend that you contact an FBI Channeler to help expedite your background check process.  If you go directly through the FBI, it can take months for you to receive your results.  An FBI approved channeler can obtain your background check in a few days.

We are the fastest apostille service provider in Washington, D.C.  Documents received at our office are processed in four business days.  We also provide FedEx 1-2 day return shipping at no additional charge.

In order to save time and money, you can request the FBI Channeler to send you a digital copy of your background check.  You can simply forward this document with our order form and credit card authorization form for processing.  During the past several months, most of the background checks we have received are in digital format.   We also accept hard copies at our Washington., D.C. office.  You can request a hard copy in addition to the digital copy from the FBI Channeler.  Some countries have strict requirements and may only accept FBI background checks printed on the tamper-proof paper.  We recommend that you obtain a digital copy and a hard copy.

FBI background checks are valid for only 3 months.  Please, do not delays in mailing in your document.  The U.S. Department of State will not apostille background checks older than three months.  Also, many countries will not accept background checks older than three months.  As soon as you get your document, go ahead and mail-it to our office for processing.

Apostille FBI Background Check

Do you need an apostille on an FBI background check?

Every month, we process over 100 FBI background checks through the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C.

If you are planning to live, work, adopt, or travel to a foreign country, the following countries will request an FBI background check with an apostille.  South Korea (Korea), Russia, Panama, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Spain, Italy, and more.  There are currently over 100 countries who are members of the Hague Apostille Convention.

The first step is to contact an approved FBI Channeler to help expedite the background check process.  If you attempt to go through the FBI directly, the wait time can exceed 3 months.  If you contact an FBI Channeler, you should receive your background check within a few days.

If you are outside the United States or in a rush, you can request the FBI Channeler to email you your background check results (Digital copy).  You can then forward this email with our FBI order form and credit card authorization form for fast next business morning processing.

You can also request the FBI Channeler to mail you a hard copy.  Once you receive your background check in the mail, you can then forward the document to our office in Washington, D.C. for processing.

The current processing time for mailed-in hard copies is 3-4 business days and 5-6 business days for digital copies.

Once we process your document through the U.S. Department of State, you will receive your FedEx tracking number and estimated time of delivery.  Documents shipped from our Washington, D.C. office will be delivered to your location in 1-2 business days.  Additional rates apply for international shipping.
