Do you need an apostille for South Korea?
Whether you’re moving, starting a new job, getting-married, or continuing your education in South Korea, you will be asked to obtain an apostille on a few of your documents.
From our experience authenticating thousands of documents for South Korea, the most common documents we process are:

We will discuss each document separately and provide you the simple steps you will need to take before you can mail in your documents to our office for processing. Please note that we have nine offices throughout the United States and each office can process specific documents only. For example, only our Washington, D.C. office can apostille an FBI background check.
FBI Apostille for South Korea – The Government of South Korea will request for you to obtain an apostille on your FBI background check. We recommend that you contact an approved FBI Channeler. the FBI Channeler will assist you in obtaining a copy of your background check. Once received, go ahead and mail in this document to our Washington, D.C. office for processing. You can also request a digital copy of your FBI background check. This digital FBI background check document can then be simply emailed to us for processing.
Diplomas and Transcripts Apostille for South Korea – If you attended a school (High School, College, University, Trade School, etc..) in the United States and plan to work or continue your studies in South Korea, the requesting country will ask that your records be authenticated by the School Registrar prior to being Apostilled by the Secretary of State.
Your diplomas and transcripts will also need to be apostilled if you are planning to teach in South Korea. The Government and the employer will request that these documents be authenticated by the University and the State office. Please note that your school documents must be notarized by the school’s registrar and then apostilled by the State.
Birth Certificate Apostille for South Korea – If you are planning to get married in South Korea, the Government of Korea will request for you to obtain an apostille on this document. You will need to mail in a certified copy issued by the County or State office. Please note that we have nine offices so please call us before you mail in this document for processing.
Driver License Apostille for South Korea – Many of our customers in South Korea eventually call us to apostille their driver license. If you are planing to drive in South Korea, you will be asked to obtain an apostille on a color copy of your driver license. The Government of South Korea will only accept an apostille from the State that issued your driver license.
Obtaining an apostille for South Korea can be complicated. Don’t leave this process to untrained employees or non-professionals who do not fully understand the Apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries.
