Italy Apostille

Apostille for ItalyDo you need an apostille for Italy?

Since 1978, Italy has been a member of the Hague Apostille Convention.  Documents destined for this country only require an apostille issued by the State or the U.S. Federal Government.   Documents issued by the State must be apostilled by the same-State.  Document issued by the U.S. Federal Government can only be apostilled through the US Department of State in Washington, D.C.

Italy is one of only a handful of countries who still require your documents to be legalized at the local Italian Consulate office.  We recommend that you contact the Italian Consulate before you send your documents off to Italy.  Your documents may require translation to Italian before the Consulate will legalize your documents.

Common documents we can apostille for Italy are:

  1. FBI Background Check
  2. State Background checks
  3. Marriage certificates
  4. Death Certificates
  5. Birth Certificates
  6. Diplomas
  7. Transcripts

Whether your moving, starting a new job, obtaining dual citizenship, or continuing your education in Italy, you will be asked to obtain an apostille on your documents.

Apostilles can be complicated. Don’t leave this process to untrained employees or non-professionals who do not fully understand the Apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries. Your paperwork could be rejected costing you time and money. Don’t let this happen to you!
