Iraq is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention (Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents). Documents being sent to this country require State, US Department of State (If required), and Iraq Embassy or Consulate legalization. This two or three step process is necessary in order for the country of Iraq to accept your documents.

Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Iraq Consulate Los Angeles, California:
Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington State, and Wyoming.

Please Note: We can only help you with documents originating from or notarized within the United States. If your documents originated from Iraq, you will need to contact the correct competent authority to assist you in that country.
