Documents issued or notarized in one State must also be authenticated by the same State.
For example, if your birth certificate was issued from the State of Texas, the only State who can Apostille your documents is Texas.
We’ve noticed a few online companies located in New York who are attempting to circumvent the correct way of authenticating documents. These online companies will ask you to either mail, email, or upload a copy of your certificate. They will then attach an affidavit attesting that the copy is a true copy of the original and obtain an Apostille from New York.
In order to prevent rejection of your documents or having your documents invalidated in the future by the receiving country, it’s important to complete your documents correctly the first time.
Unlike some of our competitors who trick clients into believing their acts are legitimate, we believe that the best policy is to be honest and complete your documents correctly with the State that issued the documents or the State the documents where notarized in.

New York Documents = New York Apostille
Colorado Documents = Colorado Apostille
Federal Documents = U.S. Department of State Apostille
Florida Documents = Florida Apostille
There are no exceptions to the rule!!!
Attempting to attach a New York Apostille on a copy of a Texas birth certificate is unethical. If your documents are ever questions in the future, you risk everything; Your job, marriage, citizenship / dual-citizenship, retirement, properties, money, fines, prison time, etc… Don’t let this happen to you!!!
