Our San Francisco apostille service is located in Downtown San Francisco on 1 Sansome Street.  Our Los Angeles apostille service is located in the City of Burbank and minutes away from the Downtown Los Angeles Secretary of State’s office.  Documents received at our San Francisco office are processed the day after we receive them.  Documents received at our Los Angeles office are processed the same-day with the State of California.

As the leading California Apostille Services, we can apostille your documents quickly saving you time and money.  You can either mail in your document to our office or simply drop them off if you are local.  Our offices are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm and our customer service representatives are available Monday – Saturday from 8am to 7pm.  Our representatives are available to sign for your documents when they arrive.

In the State of California, we have offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles.  Our office in San Francisco is located in the Downtown area and our office in Los Angeles is located in the Burbank area.  Documents issued from the State of California can be apostilled through any one of our two California offices.

The processing time at our San Francisco office is the next business day and the same-day at our Los Angeles office.  We also provide FedEx return shipping at no additional cost to any address in the United States.

The State of California has 58 distinct Counties with each County issuing birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, and single status affidavits.  The Superior Court of the County can issue your divorce decree and other legal documents.  If your documents require notarization, you can meet with any notary in California and have your documents notarized.   Keep in mind a notarized document is not the same as an apostille.  An apostille is issued by the California Secretary of State.

The first step is to contact our office so we can review your documents.  It’s important to have your documents available as we may ask questions regarding the signer of the document and the department the document has been issued from.  Though we will do our best to verify your documents over the phone, only the Secretary of State will make the final decision.  We recommend that you mail in the document you currently have for authentication.

Apostille San Francisco

In the State of California, we provide California Apostille Services in San Francisco and Los Angeles.  If you are in California and need your documents authenticated, you can either mail-in your documents to our San Francisco office or our Los Angeles office.  If you are outside of California, we recommend that you mail-in your documents to our Los Angeles office.

A California apostille can only be issued by the Secretary of State.  California commissioned notaries do not have authorization to issues apostilles or provide legal advice; unless the notary is an attorney.  Some documents do require notarization prior to receiving an apostille.  Documents issued from any of the 58 California counties, Superior Courts, California State, or notarized within it’s borders must be apostilled from the State of California.

The most common documents we receive are: birth certificates, death certificates, power of attorney documents, affidavits, marriage certificates, Superior Court divorce decrees, and corporate documents.  We can also copy certify your passport and your drivers license.  Certain countries may require your driver license to be apostilled to establish identity or driving privileges.

For some documents, you must have your signature notarized.  For example, a power of attorney will require notarization prior to receiving an apostille from the State.  When choosing a notary, it’s important to find a notary who has experience and one who will follow California state notarial laws.  Documents notarized incorrectly will be rejected by the State.

Our San Francisco office can apostille your documents in 2-3 business days.  Unfortunately, the California Secretary of State does not have an office in San Francisco.  If you are in a rush and need your documents authenticated quickly, we recommend that you mail-in your documents to our Los Angeles office.
