Please note that in order for your diploma to be eligible for legalization through the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., it must first be certified through the Secretary of State of the State which your document is issued from.  For example, if your diploma is from a University in Nevada, you will need to first have the diploma notarized/copy certified with the University Registrar before the document is mailed to our office for processing.  Visit this link for instructions on authenticating your school diploma: https://www.internationalapostille.com/how-to-apostille-a-diploma/ .  Please be sure to work with a notary with experience.  Because the diploma will be certified with the State, the notary must use follow the notarial laws in their State or the document will be rejected by the Secretary of State.

Once we receive the notarized/copy certified diploma from the school, the next step is to have the document certified by the Secretary of State’s office.  The purpose of this step is to ensure that the notary is a commissioned notary and in good standing with the Secretary of State’s office.  If the document has been notarized correctly, the Secretary of State will attach a certification to the diploma or a color copy of the diploma authenticating the notary’s signature.  Please note that we provide document certification for all 50 U.S. States.  We can provide you a fast price quote and time-frame if you Contact Us.

As soon as your document has been certified by the State, the next step is that we will overnight the State certified diploma to our office in Washington, D.C. for processing with the U.S. Department of State.  Our staff in Washington, D.C. will hand-deliver your certified diploma to the State Department for processing.  The typical turn-around time is 3-4 business days.  Once complete, the document will be picked-up and hand-delivered to the United Arab Emirates Embassy (UAE) the following business morning.

It’s important to note that the United Arab Emirates Embassy has strict guidelines on legalizing diplomas.  One of the requires is that the educational institution must be located in the US and regionally accredited by NEASC (CIHE), MSA (CHE), NCA (HLC), SACS (COC), NWCCU, or WASC (ACCJC-ACSCU). The Embassy also charges a specific fee to legalize diplomas and degrees.

The processing time with the Embassy is 3 to 7 business days.  Please note that certain times during the year the Embassy may take longer to process your documents.
